Appia Road Segment 07

From Junction NINFINA ROAD (Tres Tabernae) to TOR TRE PONTI (Tripontium)

This segment does not offer any historical-archaeological elements to pay attention to.

On the other hand, three localities – Ninfa, Norma and Valvisciolo(*) , close to the axis of the Appia road, are worth a visit.

(*) Ninfa, 8 km away, is an abandoned medieval town immersed in a garden of water and flowers.

Norma, ancient Norba, 16 km away, retains vestiges of the Acropolis, the walls, and the Roman        road.

The Abbey of Valvisciolo, 10 km away, built in the 12th century, preserves a wonderful cloister.
